Sun-kissed ebonies, regal and pose. 

Fearless like the ocean waves of West Africa, 

that carried your enslaved bodies through the Middle Passage. 

There you lay,
Bold, radiantly shielded by your melanated coat of amour. 

Nude in your ancestral greatness, 

back slightly arched,

 arms rested on the throne – 

protected by the guardians of our future generation.
