7 Unapologetic Ways to Care For Your Body

When it comes to caring for our body, we are constantly being bombarded with the same arbritray type and image about how we should look like or what we should aspire to, that many of us fall into the trap of thinking that what we have isn't good enough. With so many publications, commercials, and music videos all promoting a particular image, its no suprise young women find it so hard to embrace their bodies, especially with the lack of positive representation of themselves in the media.

As a plus size woman who has fallen in love with her body, the road to self love is one that involves a lot of stripping, and cleansing, emotionally, spiritually, and definetly physically.

This is a journey that is as timeless as the soul as a result is always evolving. Here are 7 unapologetic ways to love your body.

1. Embrace your nudity.
The easiest and fastest way to acknowlege and start loving what your working with is to bare it all. Nudity creates a space for the artwork that is your body to glow, especially when hit by a glare of sunlight.

2. Be sensual.
Connecting with yourself on this level provides you a type of self confidence and adore  for yourself that you could never find anywhere else. Bathe your skin in some essential oils and unwine with some cool jazz, perhaps Mr. John Coltrane (or any music you find relaxing). This practice will have you feeling like a certified goddess, I promise. 

3. Look at yourself without judgement.
Its so much more easier to hate our bodies because the media does but this is where you reclaim your power over yourself and your life back. The old cliche is true, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and has the beholder of your body you should always venture your temple with love and gentleness.

4. Wear that outfit that society says you're too big to wear and own it!
Body types don't determine trends or style only you do, and so if you feel like you'd look fly wearing something you feel is cute, then baby girl, just do it. The sexiest thing a woman can wear is her own confidence.

5. Shamelessly shower yourself with compliments!
Yes you are beautiful, and remind yourself of this everyday, especially on the days when you don't feel like it. These are the days you need it the most.

6. Dance.
Movement allows freedom, and with that awaken your spirit and childlike bliss. By boosting your serontinin levels you allow happiness and self love to come through while also feeling sexy. You realize that your body is temporary but you are not and with that comes infinite bewilderment.

7. Be honest with yourself.
 If change is what you seek then make the commitment to yourself to mold your body in the likeness of your image and love every part of your transformation. Loving your body means loving yourself, and in a world that can be cruel and cold, self love can never go out of style.
